Soltra Builders has now registered its separate Entity under the Non-Profit Charity Organization with its own Business Name ‘LAE DISABILITY VOICE OF HOPE CHARITY’, and will now set up in Lae to support the Disabled Community.

Soltra have a mission to help the Disabled people in Lae city, Morobe Province. For almost 5 years we have been helping and providing for the people with impairments and we have planned for the bigger and better improvements to the disabled livelihoods and how we can help them to sustain their living.

Soltra has started a Chicken Poultry Project at Bumayong Disabled Centre which looks after about 114 impairments. We also built the Kitchen building to provide Weekly Meals for these people, which the materials have come through the contributions from big business houses & hardware in Lae. We’ve taken part many times in sharing the International Disabled Day together with the Person's with Disabilities, through giving out the Christmas Gifts & Vouchers, and Hygiene packs plus the Provided lunch for approximately 200 heads. Soltra have used the money donated by Brian Bell Foundation and purchased four sewing machines for Bumayong Disabled Community to help them in small business making and keep them going.

We are also buying the Wheel chair under the Charity account to assist one of a young mother who is one of Bill’s daughter’s best friend, her name is Sharon. Four years ago, Sharon gave birth to her second born son at the hospital and found herself getting her backbone paralyzed, as she cannot move other than left arm therefore permanently lying in bed. This is the first of the many that we choose to do in order to help and support the Disabled people in Lae Community.
